This image was produced after reading a book on Islamic art. The book is fascinating and gives an insight into a rich and artistic culture.
I was most impressed by the level of workmanship in both its arts and architecture. I would, given enough time like to produce an architectural
rendering of one of its numerous Mosques. For now I'll have to settle for a simple bottle.
The shape is based on an actual Persian design, but
the surface glaze is a re-working two separate patterns found on ceramic tiles, again Persian. What pleased me about this image is the reflected
pattern in the bottoms lower half and the way the depth of field has broken up the tables hi-lights. I'll probably re-render this at a later date
with better anti-ailising.
